Fender announced a new line of in-ear headphones, marking its first entry into the consumer electronics world. The company is best known for its classic guitars and amps, which were key to the rock and roll revolution some 60-odd years ago, but it’s never dabbled in the electronics world like this before. The line of headphones were developed in-house using technology from Aurisonics, which Fender acquired for this purpose. The new Fender Pro In-Ear Monitor line, which ranges in price from around 100 to 500 Euros and caters to both casual listeners and audiophiles and musicians is just incredibly good. It doesn’t get much better than this. The song has a mere 5000 hits on Youtube despite being there for about 5 month now. WTF? Why isn’t this the biggest song of the year. I Don’t Give a F**** What You Reckon has the best lyrics ever, is only 1:59 long and is catchy as it gets. Well, TrendEngel will have the opportunity to see Man & The Echo perform at The Great Escape in Brighton this weekend.
Now recording their debut album with Neil Comber (MIA/Django Django) it’s set for release via 1965 Records in Autumn 2016.

The Neon Demon – Cannes Most Anticipated Movie
Nicolas Winding Refn is a veteran of the Cannes roller-coaster. Drive took the roof off the Palais des Festivals at its world premiere there in 2011, while two years later, his career-derailing Only God Forgives floundered in a swamp of boos. His latest is a sleekly stylised psycho-horror about cannibalistic models, with Elle Fanning, Christina Hendricks and Keanu Reeves: the prospect of a glorious comeback or another fiasco immediately made it one of 2016’s hottest tickets. Urb-E – The Future of Urban Commuting?
We all want to imagine that the vehicle of the future is a solar-powered flying car … But there’s a more pragmatic alternative already on the market today that clues us into what’s coming next for transportation. Debuting in prototype-form at CES a few years ago, the URB-E is finally ready for the spotlight.
Built in Pasadena, California by american designer Grant Delgatty and German car designer (Porsche) Sven Etzelsberger. The Urb-E costs 1500 Dollar and has come a long way since the first model was presented in 2014. Check it out.

Onion Architects and Designer – Bangkok Firm Has Something Special
Onion is a Bangkok-based design practice founded in 2007 by Siriyot Chaiamnuay and Arisara Chaktranon. The two designers carry out a continuous exploration aimed at different needs for contemporary life styles. 
Onion brings the local craftsmen to explore the new techniques of using local materials. Together, they constantly push the boundaries of spatial designs in order to form a unified approach to retail and living experiences. The studio’s portfolio includes a variety of products ranging from interior objects such as handmade lamps, chairs, tables, to architectural designs such as the boutique hotels entitled Sala at various locales.
Their specialty is designing restaurants and food concepts in general. Here are some of there best achievements. Just stunning and world leading.
Albina and the Dog-Men – Alejandro Jodorowsky at His Best
Like all Chileans, Crabby spoke in a singsong way, her voice vibrating in her nose. She laughed at everything, even celebrity deaths, and made cruel jokes. She drank red wine until she collapsed in snores, only to wake up barefoot because someone had stolen her shoes. She ate empanadas and sea urchin tongues in green sauce seasoned with fresh, extra-hot chili. Whenever the cops beat a “political agitator” to death, she turned a blind eye, pretending not to notice. Actually she wasn’t Chilean but Lithuanian.
This is the first paragraph of Albina and the Dog-Men, the new book by 87 year old chilean author and movie director Alejandro Jodorowsky. TrendEngel hasn’t read an intro like this in a while – captivating and addictive in the blink of an eye. Just amazing. The ultimate piece of Jodorowsky arcana, a mind-bending adventure story on par with his wildest cinematic visions.… A surrealist novel par excellence, Albina and the Dog-Men is a dream, a prophecy, a hallucination, and a transfiguration such as only Jodorowsky could induce. Tulip Fever – Alicia Vikander Stuns again – Thanks to Tom Stoppard
Set in 17th century Amsterdam, “Tulip Fever” follows a married woman (Alicia Vikander) who begins a passionate affair with an artist (Dane DeHaan) hired to paint her portrait. The lovers gamble on the booming market for tulip bulbs as a way to raise money to run away together. With a screenplay by Tom Stoppard (Shakespeare In Love) and with a cast that includes Christoph Walz and Dame Judi Dench this is one of the movies to look forward to this summer. The Dutch Tulip craze revisited – it was about time. The film was supposed to released earlier in the year but Harvey Weinstein himself demanded a rework of the final cut. Normally not a good sign but our spies tell TrendEngel that in this case it works in the movies favor.
Pumarosa – This Is It – Cecile Proves a Point
On their video for the impressive single ‘Priestess’, London newies Pumarosa set out their stall perfectly: Classy visuals clashed with cascading melodies. When I caught them live around the same time it reminded me of seeing Jungle early on – hefty beats, a stage shrouded in smoke and a lot of nascent ambition to try and create something otherworldly for the audience.
The follow-up video for ballsy latest track ‘Cecile’ just dropped and it adds more to their burgeoning story, with a touch of lysergic influence seeping in as the band dance gently around a dank looking London tower block. Singer Isabel Munoz-Newsome has shades of Savages‘ Jehnny Beth in her delivery, but there’s also an eerie quality to her vocals, like she’s listened to a lot of Kate Bush but only really taken onboard the most bullish moments. This is without a doubtt the most exciting band of 2016.
